AGCO – HARVESTING CLEANLINESS AND EFFICIENCY

AGCO Corporation is a global leader in the design, manufacture, and distribution of agricultural machinery and solutions. Their products are sold through five core brands: Challenger, Fendt, GSI, Massey Ferguson, and Valtra. One of AGCO’s challenges was developing a cleaning system for their machines that could remove dirt, dust, and debris in a more efficient and effective manner. To achieve this goal, AGCO needed to find an engineering consulting firm specializing in mechanical engineering, simulation, and product development.

Challenges

One of the main challenges AGCO faced was developing a cleaning system that could work across all their machines, including tractors, combines, and sprayers. This meant that the system had to be adaptable and scalable and be able to be integrated with a wide range of machinery. Additionally, the system had to be robust enough to withstand the harsh conditions of agricultural environments and maintain its performance over time.

Solution

AGCO chose DIS/CREADIS as the technical lead in developing and testing the cleaning system. DIS/CREADIS designed and developed a system that could be adapted to fit any type of machine, with various nozzle configurations and water pressures to ensure that the system was effective in removing dirt and debris. The system was also designed with durability in mind, using materials that could withstand harsh agricultural environments and long-term use.

DIS/CREADIS utilized their mechanical engineering, simulation, and product development expertise to create a solution that exceeded AGCO's expectations. They worked closely with AGCO's team throughout the design and development process, incorporating feedback and making modifications to ensure that the final product met all of AGCO's requirements.

Benefits

The benefits of the cleaning system developed by DIS/CREADIS were numerous. The system provided a more efficient and effective cleaning process, reducing the time and effort required to clean AGCO's machines. The system also had a positive impact on the overall performance of the machines, reducing wear and tear and extending their lifespan. Additionally, it helped to improve the safety of AGCO's machines, as a clean machine is less likely to experience mechanical failures.

The system also delivered financial benefits for AGCO. The increased efficiency and effectiveness of the cleaning system resulted in cost savings, as less time and resources were required to maintain and clean their machines. Additionally, the extended lifespan of the machines resulted in cost savings for equipment users.

Why DIS/CREADIS

AGCO chose DIS/CREADIS as their partner for this project for several reasons. DIS/CREADIS’ strong reputation for mechanical engineering, simulation, and product development, their experience working with companies in the agriculture industry, and proven track record of delivering innovative and effective solutions.

SKY-LIGHT – NEW FLEXIBLE ROBOTIC PACKAGING PRODUCTION MACHINE DELIVERES INCREASED SAFETY FOR NEW PLANT

SKY-LIGHT, a film and packaging manufacturer, has invested in a new production plant that required an efficient and safe packaging system. The previous manual processes were not optimal in terms of the working environment and safety, and the new plant had to be able to handle rolls weighing between 200 kg and 1800 kg (441 lb. to 3968 lb.). This meant that the packaging system needed to be very flexible and capable of adjusting to nine different packing methods. SKY-LIGHT did not have the internal resources to develop this system, and so they contacted DIS/CREADIS to take over the development, construction, design, setup, assembly, and commissioning of the plant.
