J.N. Bech – STREAMLINING PACKAGING PROCESSES FOR GREATER EFFICIENCY AND QUALITY

J.N. Bech is a family-owned business that specializes in producing high-quality glass and mirror solutions of Danish design. Founded in 1896, the company is now in its 4th generation of family ownership. With a passion for glass that has been passed down through the generations, J.N. Bech has established a reputation for quality, service, and reliability.

Challenges

J.N. Bech desired to improve its production processes, especially in its space and time-consuming packaging line. They were experiencing significant bottlenecks due the current processes. An increase in the product mix and in sales compounded the issues and meant that the company had to re-think their set-up to avoid increasing the production area footprint and number of employees required to staff the packaging process.

Solution

J.N. Bech contacted DIS/CREADIS to discuss potential solutions. After initial meetings and presentations, DIS/CREADIS facilitated a workshop with the operators at J.N. Bech. This resulted in an idea catalog with improvement suggestions for the production processes, focusing on the packaging line and additional opportunities for cost savings and optimization. As a result, DIS/CREADIS was chosen to develop and manufacture a new inspection and packaging line. The new line has been designed to improve the working environment for the operators and optimize the packaging process.

Benefits

The benefits of J.N. Bech’s new inspection and packaging line have been significant. The improved working environment has resulted in happier, more productive employees, while the optimized packaging process has reduced bottlenecks and improved overall efficiency. The use of the latest technology has also improved the quality and consistency of the packaging, which has enhanced the company's reputation for quality and reliability. Overall, the investment in the new packaging line has provided J.N. Bech with a competitive advantage in its industry.

Why DIS/CREADIS

J.N. Bech chose to work with DIS/CREADIS because of their expertise in process optimization and manufacturing. With a focus on quality, service, and reliability, J.N. Bech recognized the value of partnering with a company that shared its core values. DIS/CREADIS has a proven track record of delivering innovative solutions to its customers, and its team of experts was able to provide J.N. SKY-LIGHT – NEW FLEXIBLE ROBOTIC PACKAGING PRODUCTION MACHINE DELIVERES INCREASED SAFETY FOR NEW PLANT

SKY-LIGHT, a film and packaging manufacturer, has invested in a new production plant that required an efficient and safe packaging system. The previous manual processes were not optimal in terms of the working environment and safety, and the new plant had to be able to handle rolls weighing between 200 kg and 1800 kg (441 lb. to 3968 lb.). This meant that the packaging system needed to be very flexible and capable of adjusting to nine different packing methods. SKY-LIGHT did not have the internal resources to develop this system, and so they contacted DIS/CREADIS to take over the development, construction, design, setup, assembly, and commissioning of the plant.
